UK Status Resident. Found throughout the UK, quite common in the south, becoming more scarce further north. Montgomeryshire Status First recorded in 2011 in the west of the county at Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve. Wingspan : M, 11-15mm. F. Wingless. Confusion species Other species within the genus. |

(Univoltine)  Habitat Wherever the foodplant is found. Foodplant Grass, lichen and decaying plant matter. Lifestage data Case-bearing. Eggs laid in larval case. Larva forms a portable case from which it will feed. Pupa formed inside the case which is then attached to a tree or fence. |
